The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division ofDigestive Diseases, is recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE) Visiting Scholar. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
Job Description:
Duties will include, but not be limited to, infectious serum sample preparation and storage, viral RNA/DNA isolation, qualitative PCR and RT-PCR, real-time PCR; in vitro transcription, cell culture, agarose gel, electrophoresis, reagent preparation, ELISA and Western blot assays, bioinformatics analysis of viral sequence data and accurate, detailed record keeping of laboratory and clinical research data and storage sample databases.
Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.
